I admit it: I'm a Gear Geek - I like to see what kind of equipment other musicians use.  So, for all the rest of you Gear Geeks out there, here's a rundown of the current equipment Ransom uses, along with the bios for the band members.

 
 
 

JOE MOLLETT.  (On right in photo.)  Lead and rhythm guitar, lead and background vocals. Joe backed numerous local artists both on stage and in the studio, performing in several bands before forming Ransom in 1990.  Joe also wrote the band’s original signature song, "Never Enough."

WAYNE ADAMS.  (In back.)  Lead and rhythm guitar, lead and background vocals.  Wayne spent two seasons with the Voices of Appalachia and performed with Southern Rock bands Rock Zone, Deuce, and Dillinger before joining Ransom in 1990.

Hot-rodded '78 Fender Musicmaster w/DiMarzio Super II humbucker in bridge position and custom wiring, usually strung with a custom .008 - .042 set (.008, .011, .014, .022, .032, .042)

CWAdams Telstar: A Custom Telecaster copy with Fender/Lace sensors (BLUE neck, RED bridge) and 4-way switching.  Strung .008 - .048 (curently using Dean Markley's Yngwie Malmsteen Signature set.)

RODNEY DAWSON.  (On left.)  Bass guitar.  Rodney played with a number of local groups over the past several years before joining Ransom in 1994.  He took a short break in 2003, returning to the lineup in 2005.

GABRIEL MOLLETT.  (In front.)  Drums.  The newest member of Ransom, 14-year-old Gabriel began playing drums at age 10, and by the age of 12 was filling in part-time for Ransom’s regular drummer.  He became the band’s full-time drummer in 2005.
